Is DB Healthcare a Staffing Company OR Placement Agency?

DB Healthcare is a staffing agency, specialized in providing healthcare professionals on per-diem (short term days to weeks) and contract (weeks to months) basis to hospitals and long term care facilities.

What are the steps to get the Green Card for USA?

Where should I send my TOEFL/TSE or IELTS results?

Submission of TOEFL, TSE or IELTS score should be directed to CGFNS by writing the code "9988" in the "Send Result to" on the TOEFL or TSE forms. This will help obtaining the CGFNS and Visa Screen Certificates. There is one more step for the IELTS results to be sent to CGFNS. DB Healthcare will guide you for the same.

What is a Visa Screen Certificate and who needs it?.

The local Consulate requires VisaScreen Certificate at the time of the personal interview at the consulate. Obtaining Visa Screen Certificate consists of 3 processes:


How do I obtain MY Visa Screen Certificate?

DBH applies for your Visa Screen from its US office. You will be required to pay for the Online application fees of $540 or fees required by CGFNS. It requires your diligent efforts to complete the application and request score reports from TOEFL, TSE or IELTS. We provide you extensive guidance and with all the forms and information. Please courier our US office $540 or appropriate Visa Screen Fees by demand draft.

How may I check the status of my Green Card application?

We send you emails updating your the status. You may also contact our India office to check the status at anytime by email/phone. For your convenience, the current status report is always available at the Ahmedabad, India office. You can also send email to visastatus@dbhealthcare.com to know your application status.

Can my family member(s) receive Green Card(s), who will pay for their visa and what will be the immigration process?

Yes. DBH applies for a Green Card for your entire family (Spouse and unmarried Kids under 21 years). We pay for entire immigration process for YOU - from your Green Card Application to your Visa Stamping as long as you abide by DBH contract. You pay your family's visa fee payments and associated expenses.

Who will pay for my and my family's ticket to USA?

DBH pays for YOUR one-way travel to USA as long as you follow our instructions and abide by our policies. You will be responsible to purchase tickets for your family.

Can my Family Travel with me?

Based on our experience, we recommend that you travel alone and ask your family to join you after you work for at least a month. DB Healthcare provides airport pick-up, accommodation and support for nurses traveling alone. If you are traveling along with your family, DB Healthcare can help you find the airport pick-up service (cost around $65-70), accommodation ($70-100 per day).

What type of Arrival Orientation do you provide?

DBH provides quality training and orientation material upon arrival.

How do I obtain a Social Security Number and how does DBH help in this process?

DBH provides assistance to you and your family members for completing major formalities such as obtaining Social Security Number, Driving License, Auto Loan, opening Bank Accounts and selecting an Apartment.

What will be my work location and environment?

We require you to be flexible to work anywhere in the US. DB Healthcare is committed to your success in every aspect, for you to become a successful nurse and settle down in USA. DB Healthcare's multiple step, in-house and on-site, training program prepares you for patient communication, various clinical skills and several certifications from BLS (Basic Life Support) to advanced critical care training. Your place of assignment depends upon our client needs and can be anywhere in the US and for any shift, day evening or night. DB Healthcare requires you to be flexible for placement location and shifts timing. DB Healthcare's per-diem and contract business may require you to work at more than one facility. DB Healthcare will be assigning you various shifts on short term or long-term basis.

What is the contract term with DB Healthcare?

Your contract duration will be for 3 years.

What will my Salary be and how it will be paid?

DB Healthcare pays a starting wage of $25 per hour, or the Prevailing Wage of the location you will work, whichever is higher. A salary review is done at completion of first 12 months once you start working and an appropriate raise is given at that time and annually thereafter. Currently DBH runs a Weekly payroll. You can opt for Direct Deposit into your bank account or a check.

How much Vacation will I be entitled to?

DBH provides you up to TWO WEEKS (10 working days) of paid vacation for every completed year of employment (calculated as per the vacation policy). You may request a vacation after consulting your Facility nurse manager and may request your first vacation after completing ONE YEAR of uninterrupted service. If you have an emergency, you may take one paid day per month for every month served after completing the initial six months.

What are the other Financial Benefits given by DB Healthcare?

We have opened an account with one of the largest Credit Unions in order to accommodate your Banking and Financial needs. Credit Union is similar to a Bank with various benefits such as obtaining secured credit card, low interest personal and car loans etc.

Do I get Health Insurance?

Yes, you are eligible for Health and Dental Insurance benefits through DB Healthcare. Currently DB Healthcare pays 50% of the monthly premium for an employee enrolling without family and 33% for one enrolling with family. Currently the Health Insurance premium for Single is $ 314.75 per month and 837.23 for Married with/without kids. Your monthly contribution is $157.38 per month if you enroll Single and $ 560.94 per month if you enroll with your family. Payment for medical treatments of certain pre-existing conditions might be eligible only after one year of enrollment. DB Healthcare also offers Dental coverage. This is optional and employee pays a monthly premium of $33.98 for single enrollment or $79.20 for Family enrollment.

DBH pays 100% of the premium for the following Insurance covers: Coverage may vary depending upon your joining date.

What will be my approximate Net Pay per week?

Your pay is Net pay depends on your hourly rate.

The following are the approximate percentage deductions from your gross salary:

Based on a wage rate of $25 per hour (as an example), if you work 40 hours in a week, your gross weekly salary will be 1,000. For Single employee the deductions are at 30% - so, your approximate net pay per week will be $679.98 after deducting a Weekly Health Insurance premium of $20.02. Similarly, an employee who enrolls with family will have a Weekly net pay of $1000 - $282 -$94.04 = $623,96.
